About the Censorship of Helvetin Eteinen

As a part of the munincipal elections of 2008 in Finland a major Finnish Internet newspaper, UusiSuomi (New Finland) offered to host the blogs for the candidates and so to allow an open forum for discussion and debate. UusiSuomi's web service was the single most greatest place for the candidates to obtain free publicity and to broadcast their thoughts over the Internet. I, as many others, started my own blog in UusiSuomi. It turned out to be a fiasco.

My blog "Helvetin eteinen" (Hell's Kitchen, a joke with the nickname of Manhattan) contained the same writings as my primary blog "Helvetin puutarha" (The Garden of Hell). The writings mainly concerned about the dying freedom of speech in Finland, the journalistic responsibilities of press and most controversial of all; Islam. The blog quickly became one of the most read in UusiSuomi and it was widely circulated over the Internet, which was probably an indication of the growing dislike of the media's and the government's treatment of Islam.

After I posted the blog entry "Islam Commands You to Kill All Those who Dare to Criticize Islam" my blog was removed. I tried to contact UusiSuomi about the reasons of the blog, since it didn't break any of the rules of UusiSuomi's web service, but they never gave any reply. Before the whole blog was censored and removed, UusiSuomi had removed some of my previous blog entries, of which the most prominent example would be "Islam Causes Violence Towards Women". Entries where I spoke about issues like gun control were left alone, but when ever I wrote about Islam the censorship stroke. The reasons for the censorship were self-evident.

After the removal of my blog another blogger, Markus Jansson, crticized UusiSuomi's actions concerning my case. His blog was censored also, but in different manner that mine. Nobody else expect Markus Jansson could access his blog, but when Markus logged in he could see that everything was looking fine and normal. UusiSuomi had blocked Markus Jansson's blog from readers at the same time as it was maintaining the illusion that all was well. Markus Jansson contacted UusiSuomi, who claimed that there was a clitch in the system. Nobody else but Markus Jansson had ever experienced that kind of a clitch, though there were hundreds and hundreds of readers, writers and candidates in UusiSuomi. The so-called clitch also made its first appearance after Markus Jansson took up the issue of the censorship of my blog. This might be a coincidence, but the explanation of UusiSuomi wasn't very convincing and the way they had acted previously made it even more suspicious.

Tundra Tabloids took the case up for the English speaking world, but the automatic translations Tundra Tabloids offers were extremely low in quality, so I decided to translate the writings myself. The article which caused my blog to be deleted is as close to the original as I could get. The article "Islam Causes Violence Towards Women" has been somewhat altered. The alterations concern the Seura magazine's article about the amount of rapes committed by Muslims. The original article cited another statistics, which was about the crimes of immigrants more generally, because Seura magazine's article hadn't been published by the time of me writing the entry. Also there is a slight change where I tell about the issue of the swimming hall in Jakomäki. This is because the source is in Finnish and people might have hard time accessing what it has to say.

Islam Commands You to Kill All Those who Dare to Criticize Islam

A publisher from London, Martin Rynja, decided to publish the book “The Jewel of Medina”, which resulted in his apartment being set on fire. The Jewel of Medina is a novel written by American journalist Sherry Jones and it speaks about Aisha, the child wife of Muhammad. The child wife and Muhammad’s paedophilic leanings spoken about in ahadith have long been tender issues within the Islamic world, because of the thought incorporated within the Five Pillars of Islam that Muhammad himself was a perfect man and every Muslim has to try to follow the example set by him.

Previously the book has been published in Serbia, but because of the pressure from the Muslim community the book was withdrawn from the markets. In the America the publishing company Random House left the book unpublished because the publication of the book could result in worse threats to security than what had resulted from the Danish Muhammad cartoons. Of course the fear is not completely unwarranted, because the theology of the Islamic faith commands to kill everyone who insults the prophet Muhammad.

The matter is expressed in the Qur’an 33:57 the following way; "Lo! those who malign Allah and His messenger, Allah hath cursed them in this world and the Hereafter, and hath prepared for them the doom of the disdained". Later in the same Surah after the Surah has commanded women to veil their faces, the verse continues about the subject by describing the punishments themselves; “They have incurred condemnation wherever they go; (unless they stop attacking you,) they may be taken and killed. This is Allah's eternal system, and you will find that Allah's system is unchangeable."

The most important ahadith concerning the subject can be found from the hadith collection of Bukhari. Bukhari 59:369 deals with a Jewish poet, Ka’b bin al-Ashrafi, who was sentenced to death by Muhammad after the poet wrote verses which Muhammad deemed offensive. In turn Bukhari 4:241 tells that after Muhammad had taken the control of Mecca back to himself all those who insulted Muhammad were murdered. The practice has survived thru time in the same form. For and example in Pakistan the mocking of the prophet, Allah or Qur’an yields either a death sentence or imprisonment for life.

In Islam a fatwa is an religious opinion about the Islamic law issued by an Islamic Scholar or a religious authority. The same theology that is behind the Pakistani law or the murders in the Mecca was behind the fatwa given by Ajatollah Rudollah Khomeini in the year 1989 concerning the murder of the writer Salman Rushdie. Rushdie’s crime was that he had written a book called “The Satanic Verses”. As the book’s name suggests, one of the things the book spoke about were the so called “satanic verses” found on Qu’ran. These are the verses where Muhammad by accident happens to affirm three other deities, Allat, al-‘Uzza and Manat, besides Allah. After the publications of the Satanic Verses and the fatwa concerning the murder of Salman Rushdie a wave of slaughter and blackmail was committed by Muslims. Afterwards an assassination attempt on Rushdie’s life and threats made to him got Rushdie insincerely to convert to Islam so the Muslims would spare his life.

Do you know what terrorism is? Terrorism is to use violence, crime and destruction to create an atmosphere of fear. The purpose of this atmosphere of fear is to get people to act in a certain way or to get people to leave something undone which they otherwise would do because of the fear of becoming a victim of violence, crime and destruction. The idea of the Islamic terrorism is to silence and submit everyone who dares to criticize Islam or its prophet. This Islamic intimidation is active in the Finland also, though in practice the Finnish media doesn’t speak about it. For an example the name of the Finnish translator of Robert Spencer’s book “The Truth about Muhammed – the Founder of the Most Intolerant Religion in the World” was completely left out from the book.

The solution to the problems that result from Islam is not silence and pretend “toleration” and the hope that Islam will experience some kind of a reformation or enlightenment of its own. The solution isn’t either to label the critics of Islam as racists, neo-nazis or hillbillies. The only solution to get to the problems is to talk about the problems openly. To make something holy means that that thing can no longer be criticized. However; if the very problem is in these holy things, then they should be and ought to be criticized.

Islam Causes Violence Towards Women

For women Islam is one of the most dangerous things in the whole existence. Because Islam is the second biggest religion in the world it is also one of the largest, if not the largest, factors that cause violence towards women. The reason for this is that there is a complete system of violating the Human Rights of women and forcing them to submit before their husbands written in the very core of the Islamic faith and in the law derived from it. If the woman refuses to submit before her husband as she submits before Allah, Islam threatens the women with eternal hellfire and cosmic agony. Bukhari 2:28 tells how most of the residents of Hell are women and how they have went to Hell because they refused to submit before their men. The Qur’an 2:228 decrees that men are a degree above women.

The basis for the reason why Islam causes violence towards women is based in the root of all evil, the Qur’an and the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon His soul). The 4^th Surah, the Surah of Women, emphasizes the lesser worth of women and at the same time admits the Muslim men the right to abuse their wife if the wife doesn’t obey.

"Men are in charge of women, because Allah has made the one of them to excel the other, and because they spend of their property (for the support of women). So good women are the obedient, guarding in secret that which Allah has guarded. As for those from whom you fear rebellion, admonish them and banish them to beds apart, and scourge them. Then if they obey you, seek not a way against them. Lo! Allah is ever High Exalted, Great."

Of the ahadith Bukhari 72:715 tells a story of a woman who was beaten by her husband and who came to ask for Muhammad’s help. Muhammad scolded the woman and commanded her to return to her husband and to submit to his will. Muslim 4:2127 describes how Muhammad himself beat his wife Aisha who is known as the child wife of the prophet. In the hadith Aisha tells how “he hit me in the chest which caused me pain”. Abu Dawud 2142 tells that man shouldn’t even be asked the reason why he hit his wife.

The Islamic law, Sharia, has a list of four reasons why a man is permitted to beat his wife. Man can beat his wife if she doesn’t keep herself beautiful for her husband, if she refuses the sexual demands of the man, if the woman leaves the house without a permission or permissible reason or if the woman doesn’t fill her religious duties. According to Qur’an and ahadith the religious duties of women include the submission before their husbands, the accepting of their lesser status and the obedience to their husbands will. Sharia also makes it semi-impossible for the woman to prove being raped. Sharia requires either the confession of the perpetrator or four male witnesses. If the rape cannot be proven according to Sharia, the woman should be punished by whipping. In Saudi Arabia a woman was sentenced to receive 200 lashes and a six months in prison because she got raped.

Around 100 percent of the population of Somali are Sunni Muslims, which means that they represent the more moderate and “tolerant” of the two main variations of Islam. According to UNICEF’s estimates around 95% of Somali women are circumcised. The mutilation of the female genitalia predates Islam and it isn’t directly connected with Islam as a religion. Nonetheless the circumcision is often done because of reasons of faith and it is defended with religion. In her book “Infidel” Ayaan Hirsi Ali describes the circumcision of that was done to her as inhumane. Ayaan Hirsi Ali’s clitoris was cut off without an anaesthesia of any kind and her vagina was sewed shut so that only a little hole was left for urinating and menstruating. Ali’s feet were bound together so she couldn’t move and rip open the easily infected bloody pulp between her legs. The idea of circumcision is that the man can identify his woman as a virgin, from which stems the connection between Islam and circumcision. In the wedding night the man rips the stitches open and displays the bloody sheets for the family that has gathered to the weddings.

Islam commands the women to veil their bodies so they wouldn’t seduce men to commit sin. Qur’an speaks about the dress code of women in the Surah of Light (24:31) and in the Surah of the Confederates (33:59). In the hadith of Abu Dawud Muhammad himself commands the females to shroud their bodies expect their faces and hands. In Afghanistan women have to dress in full chadri burka which veils their bodies completely and where even their eyes are covered by a black grill from which thru the woman can barely see. The more “moderate” Muslims cover their women only in the so-called niqab. The idea that by just not wearing a sag the woman somehow causes the man to become horny transfers the moral responsibility from the man to the woman. This also acts as a religious mandate to rape because “she wanted it” or “because she provoked with her style of dress”. Also to force young girls to dress the Islamic way causes them mental problems, forces them in the Islamic mould and robs away their childhood.

In the Islamic countries women are treated extremely badly. The president of Iran has declared women as enemies. In Karachi an estimate of over 100 women get raped daily. The bad treatment of women does not get left behind to the Islamic countries, but the immigrant Muslims bring it with them. A Sharia court working in the Britain has begun to handle criminal cases and to give sentences that override the Britain’s own law. The punishments for the acts of violence against women are, as one might guess, mild, meaningless and against the western idea of justice. In Finland immigrants hold the top places in statistics about sexual crime. Seura magazine published a story that revealed that in Espoo immigrants commit 70% of all the rapes. Over half of all the rapes committed in Finland are done by immigrants from Islamic countries, even though the absolute amount of Islamic immigrants is rather small. I am not going to say anything about the series of gang rapes that happened in Oulu.

Islam is a religion that causes anguish for women. If people continue to repeat the mantra that Islam is a religion of peace, Islam respects equality and so forth, they are either lying or they honestly do not know what they are talking about. Unless the problem is admitted nothing can be done to repair that problem. The more Finns accept and “tolerate” about Islam, the more women will suffer because of Islam. Finland has already accepted some of Islam’s wanton rules of unequal treatment of women. In the swimming hall of Jakomäki, Helsinki there are already days reserved for Muslim women only, even though the segregation of this kind is forbidden by the Finnish constitution. Unless people understand that the respect of Islam means automatically to leave unnoticed the rights of the Muslim women themselves to not get beaten, raped or brainwashed into submission by their husbands. Islam does not have rights of any kind, but people do. Think about it.
